At the landmark, open Meshtastic, connect to the hunt node and send your hunter username. The Bridgekeeper answers with your final clue.
The final clue puts you into the last search area. From there, use BLE signal strength as hot-and-cold guidance until it leads you to the cache.
The Road Book
Once your entry is active, the Road Book opens. Several puzzle paths are available, each with its own trail of clues. Choose one road and follow it. Every road leads to the same landmark.
Different clues. Different ways of thinking. One destination. Pick the road you want to travel and it becomes your active path through the first leg of the hunt.
The Vanishing Map
On Winter 2026, the field begins to narrow. Circles disappear hour by hour across thirty days until four crossings remain. The map below is the public clock — live, automatic, and the same for everyone watching.

The Landmark
Your chosen path gets you to the landmark — not to the cache. Once you are physically there, open the Meshtastic app and connect to the Bridgekeeper. Send the same hunter username tied to your profile and the final clue comes back through the mesh.
Final Cache Location
After the landmark handoff, hunters move from Meshtastic to nRF Connect. The final clue takes them into the last search area, where overlapping BLE signal fields become the guide. Watch signal strength, follow the strongest breadcrumb, and home in on the cache.

Enter the HuntFrom Theory to Terrain
Crossing Time is the field continuation of my Detecting the Invisible research series. That work kept returning to the same question: what if the final problem in a treasure hunt is not simply where to look, but how to detect?
The series began by looking at concealment, signal modalities, receiver tuning and the difference between something being hidden and something being present but effectively undetectable to the person using the wrong method. BLE became especially interesting because it gives an ordinary phone a live proximity signal without asking a hunter to carry specialized radio equipment.
Crossing Time turns those ideas around. Instead of only asking whether another creator might build a signal-driven endgame, I built one myself. The web clues get you to a real-world landmark. Meshtastic becomes a deliberate checkpoint and handoff. Then the final leg changes modalities again: hunters open nRF Connect and read BLE RSSI as a hot-and-cold proximity gradient through overlapping signal fields.
The point is not to prove every hypothesis in the research series. The point is to take the architecture out of the paper and put it under a hunter's feet—to see whether receiver choice, signal geometry, layered confirmation and a physically invisible electronic trail can create a satisfying final approach.
